Julien Bayle (Marseille)
Julien is a French digital artist working at the crossroads of sound, visuals and data. He discovered Ableton in 2004 with Live 4 and began using it at the same time as Max/MSP. He designs digital installations in collaborations with other artists as well as for his own research. His artistic work explores the relationship between data and art through music, live performances & A/V installations. The technology underlying his work is often described as “complex and intriguing”, and his music is sometimes classified as IDM, braindance and experimental noisy ambient. He runs Ableton Live courses for participants of all skill levels and offers courses on Arduino, Processing, and Max6, including some advanced Max for Live lessons.
