이승규는 한국의 서울예술대학교와 일본의 큐슈대학에서 예술공학, 미디어아트를 공부하고 영국의 London Garnish Music Production School에서 Sound Design, Synthesis Course를 수료했습니다.

한국의 서울예술대학교 동아방송예술대학교에서 전자음악, 음향디자인, 프로그래밍을 가르쳤고 2016년에는 삼성전자 갤럭시 스마트폰의 "Sound Camp" 어플리케이션의 작곡,사운드디자인,샘플팩 개발,시각 패턴 프로그래밍에 참가했습니다.

또, 독일의 음악 소프트웨어인, 「Ableton」사의 공인 트레이너, 「Ableton Certified Trainer」로서 컴퓨터를 이용한 높은 수준의 음악,미디어아트 프로그래밍을 교육하며 미디어 아트, 사운드 아트, 예술과 테크놀로지,현대미학을 연구하고 있습니다.

2020년 doravideo가 주최하는 'GIGAMODULAR' 출연을 계기로 일본 뿐만 아니라 한국,미국,독일,대만 등에서 GIGANOISE, Tokyo Festival of Modular, Asia Festival of Modular, Kansai Festival of Modular, “모듈라서울,”위사 페스티벌”,”닷올림”, Public Visuals 등 다양한 미디어 아트, 사운드 아트 페스티벌에 출연하고 있습니다.

그는 아날로그 모듈라 신디사이저와 컴퓨터 프로그래밍을 통해 시청각 미디어에서 극단적인 소음과 추상적이고 기이한 메세지를 표현합니다. 특히 19세기와 20세기의 사회적 배경을 통해 다양한 정치적,사회적 메세지를 비틀거나 조롱합니다.그가 표현하는 시청각 미디어에는 청중에게 있어서 다시는 잊어서는 안될 메세지가 포함되어있습니다.

YI SEUNGGYU studied Design (Arts/Engineering) and Media Art at Seoul Institute of the Arts in South Korea and Kyushu University in Japan. 

He taught media art, sound design, and programming at Seoul Institute of the Arts and Dong-A Institute of Media and Arts in Korea. In 2016, he participated in visual pattern programming, 
sound design and production of sample sound sources, and demonstrated in Samsung's official promotional video for Galaxy Smartphones. He also teaches high-level media art computer programming as an Ableton Certified Trainer. 

Currently living in Japan, he is studying media art, art and technology, and contemporary aesthetics. 

In 2020, he made his first appearance at "GIGAMODULAR" hosted by doravideo (Mr. Ichiraku Yoshimitsu), and he is currently actively performing at various media art and audio visual Festivals such as 'GIGANOISE', 'Tokyo Festival of Modular', 'Asian Festival of Modular', 'Kansai Festival of Modular', 'Modular SEOUL', 'WeSa Festival', 'dotolim' and 'Public Visuals' in South Korea, Japan, Germany, Taiwan and New York City. 

He expresses extreme noise, abstract and bizarre messages in audiovisual media through Eurorack modular synthesizers and computer programming. In particular, it twists or ridicules various political and social messages through the background of the 19th and 20th centuries. The audio/visual media he produces includes a message to the audience that should never be forgotten again.
