Important tip about connecting MIDI controllers to Ableton!!!!!!!!

FYI:

As I discovered after many hours of trying to figure out why Ableton was not reading my Oxygen 49 controller (yes, I downloaded and properly installed all the appropriate drivers and Windows xp was telling me my device was ready to use), via operations manuals, troubleshooting guides, Ableton tutorials, forums, etc...etc, I finally discovered that if you are running Windows OS you must connect the MIDI controller to USB and turn the controller on BEFORE opening Ableton Live. I discovered this from the Live 8 help view - learn how to set up your MIDI hardware. It would have been very helpful if Ableton mentioned this essential tidbit in their "setting up MIDI controllers" video tutorial.
