Geo Polk (aka Polkalong) is a pianist, sound designer, producer, audio engineer and teaching artist. They provide variable genre in-person or online production and design lessons structured for first-timers and adult beginners.

Geo Polk (aka Polkalong) first learned Live 9 in 2017.
Geo loves questions, which often causes them to produce art through playing with ideas born from academic concepts. Their music style and preferences are eclectic with nods to their varying interests. Geo initially began using DAW software to create SFX and scores for home movies. While seeking professional mentorship, Geo worked for multiple theater companies and schools to create and edit show tracks. The difficulties they experienced finding reliable and clear information around production and sound design has inspired their emphasized approach to equitable access in education.
Geo’s freelancing world expanded after studying sound design and production in college. They’ve performed primarily as a keyboardist in varying theater settings, directed as a teacher and as a professional, and taught all ages.
Their mission in life is to provide access to and remove barriers from technical information for the sake of creativity.
