Catalyst is a creative arts and technology learning institute based at the historic Funkhaus in Berlin. It has been providing world-class creative production training in the UK for 20 years, and in Berlin since 2013 under the former brand name of dBs Music Berlin.

Music courses at Catalyst span electronic music production and performance, audio and music production and sound engineering. They range from four-week summer courses for all experience levels, through to Bachelor’s and Master’s degree level courses validated by a UK university partner.
Catalyst has a progressive approach to education and an established reputation for delivering hands-on and engaging courses. One of the key components of the approach is 'learning by doing’, and facilities are built with that in mind: maximizing hands-on access to doing what you love. Catalyst's facilities have 25 professional recording and production studios as well as all the instruments, equipment and gear that you could possibly need to start creating.
Catalyst is passionate about providing a nurturing, caring, relaxed and friendly creative environment, where tutors provide uncompromising support for students.
Ableton Live is Catalyst's DAW of choice for the Electronic Music Production Courses. Short courses are also offered, including Ableton Live 11 and Ableton Push.
