Why is my playback so low while trying to record? (while still in raw file)

I recently upgraded to a much better computer to do my music on, thus resulting in downloading everything to run ableton onto it. I have downloaded everything (to my knowledge) that i need. Everything is running great except for my playback is waaayy too low. This is still while creating a song and recording. My voice when i talk into my mic is loud, like it should be. But the music playing in the background is way low in comparison. Please help! Thank you in advance!

The mic is routed into Live via an input, right? That means it is a simple audio signal. How loud it sounds, compared to your other tracks is a matter of input level. So simply turn up the input level for the mic on your soundcard, or turn up the channel level.
