Why do warped tracks clip?

I've found that warping tracks in texture and complex modes causes the audio to clip. There is no clipping or peaking before warping and the clipping doesn't occur in the other warp modes. Is there a way to make the process of avoiding the clipping easier, other than adjusting the mixer level or using a limiter?

Thank you!

Complex warping can cause phasing issues especially in the low end. This is because the audio is preprocessed, which invariably changes the song slightly.

That being said if you want to continue using complex and are too lazy to level your tracks after warping, you could put a compressor on each track, set the threshold to 0, turn the release all the way up, turn attack all the way down, turn off makeup. This should keep the track compressed by however much it exceeds 0dB.

This is a work around however, I would strongly advise you to level your tracks after warping, or use beats instead of complex to warp your tracks.
