Where should I save my actual live session?

Hello fellow ableton users,

My name is Brandon. Im real big on optimization, so I was wondering what would be the best place to save my live sessions? Im running live on a macbook pro with an sdd, I have one external hdd for packs and samples, and another external hdd for audio(mainly for pro tools). I only do production in ableton, no recording. Im currently saving sessions to my audio hdd, but would it be better if I saved my sessions to my macbook sdd or one of my external drives? Are there any performance advantages/disadvantages? Thanks in advance!

Should not matter that much, depending on the specs of course.

If you save your session on the HD, that should be quickest, since all the files are on board and in one place.

Saving it to an external disk is an option, especially if you want to use the projects on several computers. Biggest disadvantage is, that you will always have to connect the external drive to be able to work on that project.
