Where is the Transpose parameter in Arrangement view?

I was adjusting the transpose knob in the sample box in Session view and recording the audio into the Arrangement view.  I wanted to do some further editing with the transpose so i looked in the device chooser and the automation control chooser and could not find transpose automation.

Where might it be located?

Can you explain exactly what you are doing? Are you recording an audio clip? If so, why? If you are, the transpose knob is in the normal place.

You can't automate it but you can modulate it. If you don't know what the difference is, have a look here

I pre-recorded my voice.  Next, my goal was to record the changes I was making with the transpose knob.  I wanted to use the knob instead of the draw tool to get a spontaneous feel to the changes.  I recorded this into arrangement view and it recorded as a plethora of individual audio clips at whatever the transpose knob was at.  With the changes that I made there were over 30 different clips connected and playing one after the other.  I was hoping it would have been one clip and the envelope making many of the different changes.

I checked the Session view and opened the envelope editor and set it to "clip" and "transpose" parameters.  But i couldn't find a way to record the knob movements onto the audio sample as an envelope.

BTW thanks the sending the links.  I see what you mean by automation and modulation.
