What is the best way to save a finished project for uploading and sending on the web?

Well i have a great mix. I exported the mix to a wave file in ableton.

I then opened the wave file in audacity and saved it as an mp3 so I could email it.

The wave file is approximately 45MB. The mp3 is about 4MB.

The mp3 sounds like crap.-like there is a phaser effect on it. It destroyed the high end sound.

Whats the best way to get my songs on the net?  I want to post them on youtube and

other sites, and be able to send high quality files to people.

Make sure you export your mp3 with the highest possible bitrate (320 kbps) the quality will be good enough to share on the web.
