warping and tempo speeds

Hi there

I'm new to Ableton, and started to look at how to use the warp functions, and see lots of creative ideas there

If you have an original BPM of say 125 as the master tempo, and the segment shows the clip of the same speed, fair enough

I see you can adjust the  the segment BPM  for the clip,up or down which,in effect   which slows down the original BPM of that clip or speeds it up.

This is what Im confused about, can anyone explain this to me

Is this all to do with warping aka time stretching?

The segment BPM should be the actual BPM of the loop/audio/track in the clip. Usually Live guesses correctly. If Live guesses wrongly you can correct it here.

Watch my 2 minute warp a track and chop a loop out in Ableton Live video for a few tips, and see my site for more easy warping tutorials.
