using other midi devices along side the apc40

without messing with the apc40 communication with ableton 9 I would like my korg nanopad2 to launch samples assigned to a drum rack on midi tack 10 and I would like my korg prophecy keyboard to just play notes to my instrument on midi track 11 without these 2 devices interfering with each other I would also like to maybe assign the top octave of my keyboard to trigger a few midi clips  I have assigned to track 11? I cant figure it out it should be simple....

First of all, what is happening that it is getting messed up?

usually apc 40s use midi notes to trigger their clip. you may be sending the same midi note from your keyboard and triggering a clip when you do not intend to do so. If this is what you are experiencing then you may need to set your midi keyboard to a channel other than one that the apc is using. To do this, you can either run it through ableton or just change it on your midi keyboard, then set your input track to only receive from that channel.
