Using Maschine & Ableton in a 'live' Setting

Hopefully someone can answer this one.

I'm using my Maschine live for this first time in just over a week, along with the rest of my Ableton set up (APC40, NanoKontrol, iPad, LPK25).  I always record my sets and listen back for what I can change etc.

What is the best way to record the output from the Maschine?  Is it to arm an additional track and record as audio or is there another way.

The set tempo will change from about 120-140 bpm as it progresses so I'm not sure how recording as audio will be effected by that.

why not just put maschine into a midi track, send midi to it and switch the columns and rows inside of maschine. I would do nothing in ableton since it is duplicated in maschine.

You can also use program changes in Ableton's midi clips for Maschine. This gives you full control of Maschine's sounds and settings, but can also let you change scenes in Maschine by playing different midi clips from Live.
