Using Kaoss Pad on a Live retrun track using UR44 as audio interface

I tried to connect my Kaoss Pad 3 to live but I'm receiving an ugly feedback loop and I don't know why. Can somebody help me?

At first I struggled with the direct monitoring but got it to work now by disabling it in the UR44 software.
Now I can play sound on my midi channel and once I push my finger on the Kaoss Pad I hear the wet effect through the master output but it sounds strange and adds up to a very loud feedback loop which changes depending on my fingers position on the kaoss pads touch screen.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

My Live setup:

  1. Midi Track
    Audio From: All Ins, all Channel, Monitor Auto
    Audio To: Sends Only, Send A 100%
  2. Audio Track
    From: Ext. In 3/4, Monitor In
    To: Master
  3. Return A
    Audio To Ext. Out 3/4
  4. Master
    Cue Out 1/2
    Master Out 1/2

My UR44 Software setup:

  • muted Analog 1-4 direct monitoring channels

My Harware setup UR44:

  • set Kaoss Pad to "send" setting
  • UR44 3/4 out -> Kaoss Pad In
  • Kaoss Pad Out -> UR44 3/4 In
  • UR44 Master Out -> Speakers

    Oh man, jetzt habe ich Ewigkeiten herum probiert und direkt nachdem ich hier die Frage gestellt habe selbst eine Lösung gefunden (auch wenn ich es noch nicht ganz verstehe).

    Die Software vom UR44 verstehe ich noch nicht so ganz, aber es gibt da rechts an der Seite ein zweites Tab Namens "Mix 2". Dort musste ich ebenfalls die Analog Spuren 1-4 muten.

    Jetzt bekomme ich ein klares Effekt Signal ohne Feedback :)

    Vielleicht hat ja jemand Ahnung vom UR44 und kann mir das kurz erklären?

    Gibt es eine Möglichkeit in Live direkt das Direct Monitoring (so heißt es doch oder) auszuschalten, oder muss ich das immer in der Audioinnterface Software manuell machen? Wenn ich das nämlich mal vergessen sollte, können einem schnell die Lautsprecher wegen des Feedbacks durchknallen ...

    Oh, I fogot to answer in englisch :D - so I found a solution myself:

    In the UR44 Software there is a Tab on the right side called "Mix 2". There I also had to mute the channels Analog 1-4.

    I don't really understand this UR44 Software, does anyone have an idea, how I can setup those "direct monitoring" channels (that's what they are called, right?) in Live directly? Because I fear that I might forget to set them up by hand in the audio interface software during another session and then I might crash my speakers with that feedback loop :/
