Unable to Control Impulse with any MIDI Controller

I am going nuts trying to control Impulse via my Novation Launchkey Mini.. or this old Casio keyboard I have laying around. Both controllers work like a dream with drum racks or any other instrument in Ableton.. But I can only get Impulse to sound using my computer keyboard. I can see the midi signal on the impulse track so I have my input settings in order. And yes.. the track is record armed and set to in/auto.. But I just can't control individual Impulse sounds via any MIDI controller. Should I even try to keep troubleshooting this, or should I just forgo Impulse features and use only drum racks from here on out now that I have Ableton Suite and a MIDI controller? :) :(

IIRC it just responds to notes C3-C4 so as it seems to work with the drum rack properly the only thing I can think of is maybe you've got to drop the Novation down an octave ?

Yes, Impulse is not "General MIDI" compatible, so it's off by an octave or so. You could remap it using the MIDI scale effect, perhaps.
