Saffire MixControl overriding Ableton audio routing options

When selecting things like monitoring channels, routing signals to different outputs, etc... No matter what I select in Ableton, nothing happens unless I do the same over on MixControl. Any ideas what I can do?

i'm using Live 9 and a focusrite saffire pro 40.  I am trying to route an audio track to my saffire pro 40 so I can record the sound in my camera software.  As long as I use the physical inputs on the pro 40 I can record the sounds using different software.  No matter how I configure Mix Control and Ableton Live 9 I cannot output the sound out of Live to be recorded in other software.  Help?

I am not 100% sure about this, but it seems to me that you need to get your outputs properly assigned before you launch ableton.

For my setup, I assumed DAW1/2 is the main computer output, and I reserve DAW3/4 for Ableton.  I set it up so DAW1 and DAW2 are wired to the loopback output.  Mix 1 (L/R) goes to the monitors.  On my mix, i have DAW1/2 available and set to -inf.  DAW3/4 set up and is set at 0.

This way I can turn the volume up on 1/2 if I just need sound off of the computer, and 3/4 is exclusively ableton.  Be warned though, you will have to set your main output to 3/4 in ableton for each of your tracks, which is a bit of a pain.

    I hope this helps!
