Running Komplete from OS drive

So I have a late 2012 Mac Mini with 2.6Ghz i7 and 1TB Fusion drive.

I want to purchase Komplete 10 sometime soon (maybe summer sale), but in a lot of places I have read that I have to install the library content on a dedicated hard drive to keep things speedy.

I have 970GB free on my fusion drive, and seeing as though I paid extra to get the fusion drive, I would like to use the space on that if I can. Am I going to run into problems if I run Ableton, OS X, and Komplete from the same drive?

If not, what external drives would you recommend? I'd probably want one that has it's own power supply, for stability. I don't want spend lots of money for a drive if it's not necessary, especially seeing as Komplete in itself isn't too cheap.

Thank you!

Did you ever purchase Komplete? How did you end up installing it? And what did you think?
