Rewire triggering unarmed midi track

I can't find anything on this, so I hope it hasn't been asked before. I've got Reason 5 rewired to Live. I've armed another midi track on a different midi channel and when I play it, Reason will still trigger.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this from happening?

Thanks.

Thanks vitaminB. Tried it and those tracks kept playing.

But I've finally figured it out. In Reason's preferences > Keyboards and Control Surfaces i unchecked "Use with Reason" and that fixed it. I guess there's no reason to have Reason have a midi keyboard sending it anything if it gets signals from Live through Rewire.

    Thanks again for the help.

A track doesn't always have to be armed to receive MIDI: try setting all the rewired tracks with Reason devices to 'No Input' in the MIDI From IO selector just to see if that kills the phantom-note-player. Then work backwards to discover which are 'safe' channels to receive on for each ReWire track.
(I rarely use ReWire these days so if this doesn't help, I'm sorry but that's all I have!)

With Live 9 and Reason 7 I had this problem and found this answer and works like a charm. In Reason's preferences > Control Surfaces - uncheck "Use with Reason" Thanks quintens :)

Kinda makes sense.. if we are using Live for midi input there's no point to use reasons midi input at the same time.

LOL I was sitting here for 20-30 minutes trying to work out my routing.
