Retaining 'Default Set' settings when creating a new .als from a Track

This is probably a niche question, if not a little counterintuitive, but I love Ableton Live's easy ability to create new Live sets by simply dragging a Track (or several Tracks) into the browser—I do this a lot as it helps me focus specifically on one Track, bounce it out and chuck it back into the main set. The tedious thing about this is the new set doesn't retain my usual Default Set settings. I have lots of key mappings ('z' for stop, 'r' for record, 'e' for clip record, '0' to select the master track, etc etc) and some Max for Live devices on my master track, so it's a bummer to lose those settings.

I'd really love for those key mappings, devices etc to be retained when I make a new Live set this way. Does anyone know a way to do this? If not, feature request!

Get it how you want it to always to appear. Then under the 'File/Folder Preferences' press the 'Save Current Set as Default' button to save the current Live Set as the default template. Live will use these settings as the initialized/default state for new Live Sets.
