"Render As Loop" does not loop when using locators

Hello there,

I am trying to render a particular part of my project as loop.

So I added a locator where I wanted Ableton to start rendering the loop and set it to "Set Song Start Time here". Then a turned on Loop Switch and selected the part of the track I wanted to render. I then hit File -> Export and in the window turned on  the Render as Loop button. But it did not render as loop at all nor did it start the song where I set the locator to start. I just get the whole project rendered from start to end. Without adding locators it seems to work fine when rendering as loop, but it does not work with locators:

What should I do? Is it even possible to do?

Thanks a lot!

Select the bit of the song you want to export as a loop

Hit cmd L or ctrl L to loop

go to Menu File Export Render as loop

Look at the bottom of the export box, it will tell you the range it's gonna export over.

When you drag the exported loop back in you will still have to turn looping on in the clip

I am having the same problem. I don't want to have to select the loop function when I import that clip into another project. I don't have to do that with any sample/loop packs I buy or download. I can just import them and drag them out to the correct length. Does Live 9 not have the ability to do this?
