Regarding the freeze function

When I freeze a MIDI track, the resultant clip doesn't look like an audio clip; it's shape is not symmetrical.  To my ear, the sound quality is not as good as the original MIDI.  I'm trying to use Live for performance where each scene is a different song.  Some tracks may have clips produced using different MIDI instruments (e.g the Keys track may have a B-3 sound in one clip, and a Farfisa in another.)

Should the clip have this asymmetric look?  Does flatten really do anything except permanently freeze a track?

Sometimes it doesn't give a perfect result. Theoretically it should be the same though.

For better results; render the track and reload it as audio.
