Refreshing audio ouputs

I do not have a dedicated audio interface for my home studio, so my audio outputs are just plugged directly into my computer. Most of the time I have my speakers plugged in, but if I take them out and plug in my headphones, they do not show up in the audio output preferences. As far as I can tell the only way to use any audio output is to have it plugged in when you start up the software. My question is can you rescan audio outputs in the same way you can rescan for VST's while the software is running, so I don't have to restart the software to use my headphones?

I am using the 64x Windows version of Live 9.

    HI there,

If you click on Live's CPU meter in the top right corner, this will disable audio. If you click it again you will turn it on again, which will also reinitialise the audio engine.

    Hope this helps,
