Push in arrangement all we need!

Please people! We don't need many things what push can do! We really need push seqencer in arrangement view, right? All songs creates in arrangement, session mode only for sketching ideas, not song creation. And our push can't make us happy when this no working in arrangement. Select clip and seqence would be really good for push owners, and please tell about that to support ableton, to developers! For money what cost push and ableton we need not only sketching ideas - we need creative instrument for song composing! Thank you, and please again people - write mail to support.

That would be so awesome, i do a lot of work in session mode which push is great for but as soon as i take my ideas to arrangement mode the push doesn't really get used and i need to use my computer keyboard and mouse again.

I'm half in agreement with OP. I like to start recording and fire clips from session into arrangement; would be nice if there was a function for push that could enable the global record button (and or the ability to double tap the stop button).

Just some minor additional functionality for arrangement would be nice.

It's an extra $20 but for the added functionality (including tools for Arrangement recording/editing) PXT Live is definitely worth the purchase - http://www.nativekontrol.com/PXT-Live.html

Yes, it is sad that Push has no arrangement record button. On Push it would be so easy implementing it as a Shift-Record button or allowing to midi map it in the user section.

I had to pull out the old Launchpad only to map these. Now I have two controllers in front of me. The Launchpad only for enabling the record function in arrangement view. (Boo)

I absolutely agree. I use the arrange window for the bulk of my production and I am really frustrated with Push not being really optimized for it. I love Push but please for the love of all things good in humanity get to scripting better functionality in the Arrangement view!

I think Push is pretty slick as it is.  I record clips in my tracks, play in melodies, sequence beats the whole works.  then i go to software, drag and drop clips where i like and do automation and additional effects there.

I'm very happy with Live 9 and Push.  It never crashes and gets the results I want.  Ableton has done a good job with the Push and Live 9 release.  I cant really say the same about my investment int NI Maschine 2.  I like the ableton workflow.

Hi. I'm considering purchasing the Push (and switching from Logic Pro X to Live) -- please can someone clarify the exact limitation being discussed here? --

    1) Is it possible to hit the record button (whether via Push or kb/mouse) and have your arrangement recorded while you jam in session mode, trying combinations and switching fast between them etc. using Push?

    2) Is it possible to change device controls using Push (for recording in automation for instance) when in arrange view?

    3) If the answer to question 1 is yes, will it also capture any automation into the arrange window while you're recording in session mode, using Push?

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,
Great I hope they do it like Bitwig with sharm.
Miss really the option to record the Mode & Pitch Wheel together with midi clip Arrangement recording.
Its only posible in Bitwig with his kind of rethinking the sessionview in the Arrangement view.

P.s. & it is so much more

I was very disappointed to find that Push 2 doesn't have any option to record into Arrangement view.  I should've done more research!  Had I known this beforehand, I probably wouldn't have purchased it.  The main thing that caught my eye is that you can edit samples with a view of the waveform on the Push controller, the same as you would with Maschine Studio.

BUT I bought this with the intention of replacing Maschine Studio and slimming down to one pad controller; I do most of my work in Ableton, and just use Maschine for a few things.  (I believe Maschine, too, is lacking in several areas--mainly that you there are no audio tracks and all audio has to be recorded into the sampler) But sadly, Maschine Studio still outplays Push in my opinion because: 1. you can view MIDI sequences with the Arrange or Events button on the Maschine Studio controller (not possible with Push...what?  Why?) and 2. because Push is sorely lacking the ability to sequence in the Arrangement view, which is arguably at least half of Ableton.  Le sigh.
