Problems with Midi Devices on USB Hubs

I use the following configuration to run Ableton 9 with several external synths:

Dell Inspiron Notebook (i7 processor / Windows 8 ) with 4 USB3 ports and the following devices connected:

- ESI ESU1808 (Audio Interface)
- motu midi express 128 (Midi Interface)
- Alesis QX 49 (Midi Keyboard)
- USB 2 Hub with Mouse and Keyboard connected (also tested with USB 3 Hub and powered USB 2)

Everytime I try to connect additional USB-Midi-Devices (e.g. Controller, Synths with USB Interface, etc.) to the USB-Hub, the audio output starts to get noisy and to stutter.
I have to disconnect the additional Midi device and reboot to get it right again.

Is there anybody who had a similar problem and found a solution?

You may try with a premium USB cable
