open live set files using ipad? or one giant live set file with multiple songs?

I was interested in incorporating a completely "keyless" or "laptopless" way of running Live in a live show.  I'm not super keen on making one giant live set file containing all the songs that would be played live unless there were an easy way to copy all of the automation and clips from the smaller live set files for each song.  For the first option, I'm using TouchOSC and was wondering if I can simply midi assign one of the keyboard keys to open a live set file.  The closest thing I can thing of is midi mapping to the recent files, but I wasn't sure if that was even available.  I feel that Live was made for this particular use and I'm not crazy to suggest something like this as a possibility.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Don't know if you tried this, but it is possible to load any part of another liveset into a new one. Via your browser, locate the project you need, unfold it, and drag any of the separate tracks into your new project. Now you will have that track, including instruments, effects and automation at your disposal in the new project.
Hope that is what you are looking for?
