nanoKONTROL2 Pickup Takeover Mode - Jumps!

Just bought a Korg nanoKONTROL2 for use with Live 9.1, however the volume faders are not working correctly.

I setup the control surface as Mackie Control and the I/O both as nanoKONTROL2.
Everything works perfectly except that the volume faders "jump" if they are not already at the matching level on the nanoKONTROL. I set up my preferences to have a "Pickup" Takeover Mode, but this is ignored when using the nanoKONTROL2.

In my research I have seen a lot of old threads about it jumping when people switch scenes, but mine seems to "jump" right off the bat. I also wanted to bring this up as most threads were half a decade old and I figured maybe there was a modern solution or script to fix this by now.

Do I have to sell this thing? It's worthless to me if the tracks jump each time I use it.

somehow I totally forgot about this issue, bought another one, searched for the solution and my old thread is the first thing that came up. I feel pretty dumb now!

I did figure out that if you manually map everything, and DONT use mackie control, you can have the Pickup mode work correctly. But the problem is that a lot of the other buttons dont work correctly, such as when you arm something, the physical button doesnt stay lit.

there is also an APC nanokontrol2 script I found, but ableton couldn't see it once I installed it.
