Multicore/Multiprocessor Support results in crackling audio.

I've been struggling with a crackling audio in Live for a while. After doing extensive testing it turned out to be related to the Live option Multicore/Multiprocessor Support. I've always turned this on without thinking about it but when I tried to turn it off all strange sound artifacts disappeared.

Before changing this I could *almost* get away from the audio problems by putting my ASIO buffer latency to at least 50ms (Live reports that to be 2048 samples).

When I turn multicore off I can set the same latency to 2ms (at least while doing the same test I did in the above scenario) and it works like a charm.

I have a reasonably beefy CPU so one core should go a long way, but it sure would be swell if I could turn on multicore again.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with multicore support on. I have 16gb of ram, and edirol UA-25 ASIO external sound card with an Intel i7-4790k CPU @ 4.00ghz. I never had this problem with crackles and glitches with older versions and so I couldn't figure it out until I tried to turn multicore support off. Solved it, but why?!

I have the same issue, got the i7 6700k. After turning Multicore support off it works just fine, but why is that?
