MIDI controller sound problem

Hey folks, looking some help because I am confused.

I have just got an Akai LPK25 MIDI keyboard controller. I have set up Aleton Live Lite as per the video tutorial but I cannot get any sound from the system. The yellow light in the corner flashes as it is supposed to and I can see the selected instrument moving when I hit the appropriate key, but there is no sound. anybody know how to fix this? If there is anything else you need to know let me know - I have never used MIDI before now so I am a complete novice. Thanks.

Have you tried just putting in some midi notes in a clip on the instrument the LPK is currently assigned to and just seeing if that loop plays? It's a case of eliminating things usually to help you get to the point that it is working.

If you have MIDI going in and you can see it going into the instrument, btu no sound is coming out, then it's the instrument. It really should be as easy as plugging it it in. Best of luck :)
