Media Files Missing. Live 8 Library?

Ok, I bought the suite version of 8 and when I try and load some sounds into the track area, an orange or yellow bar pops up saying "media files missing" and when I try to repair the library, it tells me that I cannot use certain sounds because I am missing the Live 8 Library..??..very confusing. Now I went to the website and downloaded all of the packs there, the free ones and it is all authorized. I also triple checked and made sure I got all of the files off of the three extra discs that came with Suite 8. Am I missing something? Is there something that can be emailed to me to fix this? Any reply would help, thanks.

I emailed the technical support team because I was missing Grand Piano MF, Grand Piano F sound files in all tones as well as hard attack sounds 1-4. Nothing received back yet, I will try and keep you posted. Resetting library does not work. I was hoping ableton could email me the files I need. It does not seem I am missing many more but I have only scratched the surface with this DAW. Still love ya ableton. You do great things.

Hi, I don't know if it's going to work but you could try this:

in Preferences go to Library tab and try to reset the Library Location then Repair Library (don't just repair, change location first even if you're probably resetting the same location). Since you have Suite be aware that it's going to take a while for it tocompletely rescan Library..

I'm working with Live Lite 8 on an HP G60. Every time I open a new session of Live, I'm greeted with a message, notifying me that my "Library" is under my C: drive. I've uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, thinking I made a mistake there, but this didn't correct the problem. I'm not sure what else I could do, but like the original poster, I have no library.

I've tried to reset the library location, but there doesn't even seem to be a library location to reset. I've checked and double checked to make sure I've downloaded all of my drivers and plug-ins, and it appears I have. What other approaches have people used to address this problem?

    Thanks!
