Macro knob selects a track

Hi Live users.

I use Live for DJing and I use a Effectrack on each of my channels. Liveis controlled by a mixer style controller and the Launchpad.

When I use a knob, lets say the low eq on channel B, track B is selected and this selects also the selected track on the Launchpad, so I can not change a macro knob from another channel because Launchpad controlls the selected track.

How can I avoid that the change of a macro knob selects a track?

Thank you for your help.

I believe the issue here is that both the launch pad and mixer style midi controllers are using some of the same midi channels. When this is the case you can have two controls(buttons, knobs, etc.) trying to do to different things using the same midi channel and note(or CC numvber).

If it is possible to change the midi channels/notes of the mixer style controller I would recommend changing it to use different midi channels than the launchpad. If this is not possible, the same thing can be done using Automap by novation to remap what midi channels and notes are used by individual controls.

    Thank you for your answer.

I figuerd out what was wrong. I checked my Midi mapping once again and realised that, somehow, some of my knobs where also mapped to "Select track".

By the way, I don't like Automap very much. I played around with Katapult and it fits better for me. By now I use the Launchpad95 scripts. I like the additional features very much.
