Loss of audio when playing the whole arrangement

Hi there,

I am experiencing severe loss of audio quality when I play the entire arrangement at the same time. The more instruments and audio tracks I use at the same time the worse it gets. I assumed it had to do with my computer being not powerful enough, but even if I render the whole thing to disk, it still sounds like someone is turning the volume on each track randomly up and down.

What can I do to be able to render my work as wav. in better quality?

thanks for help with this, probably newbie, problem/

You could try running the tracks through RAM or freezing some of the tracks so that your computer can cope with them.

Highlight the audio you want to send to RAM so that the audio window along the bottom appears, then simply click the RAM button.  Or right click on the channel name on the right hand side and select freeze track.  You won't be able to make changes to the channel if it is frozen but will help with power when you come to bouncing down.

    Hope that helps.

What kind of dynamics processing do you have on the individual and master tracks? It sounds like you might have overcompressed the set unintentionally.
