Loading third party plug ins(Blue Cat)properly.Step by step for dummies

Title pretty much says it all.I am a newbie and dumb. But a quick learner.

So,I downloaded the Blue Cat freeware package of audio plug ins and it sits on my desktop until I know how to load it into Live.

Anyone want to give this poor person a bit of help?

Assume I know nothing...which is close to accurate.

I only know for mac, you just drag the .vst files to the correct folder. Some come with an installation package. The folder is in the Library on a mac, named Plugins. There is also a Components folder for AUs.
