Live 9.0.4 slow at startup

Hej Folks,

Live 9.0.4 is very slow at every startup after system reboot. It takes up to 3min to initalize the application. Can anyone confirm this? A solution would be cool.

cheers

I had a similar issue. I updated my audio interface driver ( rme) and all is well now. I wonder if the Ableton update conflicted with the rme drivrer

After I updated to 9.1 my startup started taking what seemed liked forever (I fell asleep timing it)... thanks PaulGeGe for pointing me to the audio interface driver... I have a Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface that I just bought last month.

I'm under Win8... so I unplugged my Scarlett, then opened Device Manager.  Under "Sound, video and game controllers" I right-clicked the entry for my Scarlett and clicked "Uninstall".

In the dialog box I selected "Delete the driver software for this device" (although I don't think that was necessary), selected "OK", and rebooted my system.

After reboot, I reinstalled the Scarlett driver and plugged the Scarlett back in.

Now Ableton starts with an empty set in 4 seconds like it used to!!!

I've had issues with reaaaaallly slow loading when the windows sample rate, the audio interface sample rate and Ableton's sample rate were all set to different things. So check that first !

Hi Daw, how do I send you the log report?

Live is taking more than 5 minutes to startup on my end now, which seems like an incredibe long time and that shouldn't be the case.
