Is there a way to route multiple channels to multiple outputs sequentially?

Hi everyone

I'm wondering if there's a way to route the audio outputs of multiple channels to multiple different outputs sequentially. For example, I have 8 channels of various percussion parts, that I want to output from outputs 1 through 8 of my audio interface. Is there a shortcut to do this?

Reason I ask is that I know there is a key combination to hold to do it within ProTools and Cubase. In reality, I'm actually hoping to route 40+ channels to multiple, sequential rewire outputs.

Working in Live Suite 9.1.2 on OSX 10.7.5 32-bit.

Thanks

If you use your "sends" as outputs you can .  Your sequenciation of the output require a bit of thinking and perhaps developing in m4l. But some cheap solution like this is being used even for "spatialized" audio setups.

Just change the sends options instead of to Master, Ext Output X,
