Is it possible to have an empty clip that is playing set the "clip start" set to the time of the first incoming midi note it receives

I use live mostly as instrument for live performance in session view by playing through loops and creating generally improvised songs from ideas and preconceived instrument layouts. It is wonderful and this software has opened up so many things for me. However something I've wanted since I first started playing (besides the automation in session view ty!) So lets say I decided to add some piano to the song I might open a new scene and set it to be about 4 or 8 bars in length. Because of the bouncing forth between instruments, midi controllers, and laptop is troublesome its often hard for me to hit the scene clip and start playing at the clip start. So maybe I start in half of the clip and it will sound fine as long as the clip is running with the rest of the music. If I was recording into arrangement all would be fine and well too. But since I am playing live I may stop this clip and come back later but playing it will result in it starting at 1.1.1 even if that wasn't where the first note in the empty clip arrived. So I guess what I am asking is there a way to the empty clip to not start playing until the first midi note is received OR if a scene is blank and is playing it sets the clip start to the position of the first incoming midi note.
