if you have a similar system what do you say? System for Ableton....

Ive read loads of stuff on here and on other websites, but i'd just like some opinions on the details below for running Ableton.

Ive left out manufacturer and price as I don't want to sway opinion too much....

I am on a tight budget .

anyway I know its  tiring and boring to answer BUT basically..... If you have a similar system whats your opinion?

I don't have the same system, but take it from me: you will never get the result you want by using an onboard soundcard like that. Even if you leave everything as it is now, that will probably work ok. But you will absolutely need a dedicated (external) soundcard.

I have a very similar laptop I have 8GB RAM and a slower processor. I had great luck with Live 8 Suite. Live 9 Suite seems to be sluggish and not a lot of fun to use at all. It''s just too slow. So either Live 9 is just having some growing pains or I am going to have to buy a rocking laptop to use it. The sound card comment is quite true if this laptop is going to be your only music production computer. You will need an external sound device eventually. Especially if you want to attach controllers and keyboards.
