I can't seem to crop a MIDI clip!

I know this should be easy, but I cant' figure out how to crop a MIDI clip. Basically I want to keep a few bars of MIDI data and chuck the rest of the clip (I'm working in arrangement view, 8.2.1). So I highlight the midi data I want to keep, right click on it, select "crop clip" and voila...nothing happens. I have tried both in the midi editor window, as well as directly in the clip in the track, same result. Am I missing something? Isn't the clip data to the right and left and my selection supposed to fall away, and leave me with just my selection?

The MIDI crop function will remove data that isn't between the clip's loop markers, not the selection.

Is there a way to just keeping the audio selected and discarding the rest in session view (or is there no point in doing it)?

Thanks for the response. I tried this, and actually for me it crops what is between the start / stop marker, not the loop marker. Either way, it works now! I think this should be clearer in the manual though...
