How To Upgrade Ableton on a Mac

I already have ableton live 8 installed on my Mac. How do I install an upgrade? Do I need to uninstall the current version first? I'm also new to a Mac, so would be nice to have the steps for the upgrade.

Thanks, Mark

You should be able to go through Abletons site and downlaod the new updates. Run the DMG and let it work. You dont have to uninstall at all. This is way easier on a Mac than a PC. I had no issues with mine at all.

Whenever I download it I'll click on it and then the upgraded versions shows up, but without my current files on my old one. It's a separate application after I drag it into my applications folder what do I do?

This might be a really stupid question.
