How to export Stems with their Send?

Hello,

I would like to export stems, around 4 Stems,

1- Kick and Bass

2- Synth

3- Percussions and snaress

4- fx

The problem is that I have also 3 return channels, how can i merge these return in the Stems I want to export, return channel is good for bouncing to the master but I don't see how i can make stems the way I wanted. any idea for me?

Thank you,

Hi, i would try this.. 2 chances from me..
Mute all tracks that fits not to your stems but your Sends are still open not muted.
So now render your first stem kick and bass together with the 3 Sends and then so on.
Or you can creat 4 new Sends .
Sends I would call it Stem Bus D,E,F,G, or better for you take your stem Name (Kick-Bass,synth. & so on)
Open the Sends (D,E,F,G) up on your tracks and set the Output of your tracks to Sends only not Master.
So now you have Your stem Buses and that bring's all your stem sounds together to the right Place.

So all your Send Buses represents your wish.
The first 3 Sends are your audio fx and the other 4 Sends your stems.
With that you can use compressor or limiter setup and you can Level Perfect the Volume, for every track and for every Send
These setup is without Phase problem that comes up when you reroute Sends to audio tracks
My favorite for mix mastering or feedback loop generating.
    Best regard

    Hello S,

You are proposing me great solutions indeed. I will try your second solutions, it's 'stems' perfect for me. So let me see if I understand this right. at the end when I will be resampling, it will give me 3 sends of fx various reverb, delay of all the 4 main busses (or you can resample these into one stem.) and I will have my 4 main stems (busses) divided: bass and kick, synth, perc,... It look promising, I think I'm gone make it.

Thank you very much I really appreciate this.

Is there a way to export tracks individually with the sends combined into the track?

My challenge is that I have songs with 15-20 tracks, each track sending to two reverbs.  I'm in process of mixing with someone using ProTools and need to export fully dry and fully wet tracks.

When I select the setting "Render All Individually" the sends are not combined (which makes sense for one purpose,) but there is no option, it seems, to automatically combine the track and the send to have a fully "wet" track.

Is there a solution to this?  The last posts I've seen were 2 years ago, and I was hoping there would've been an update.

Any help would be great.  Otherwise, it seems the solution is manually solo'ing every track.  YIKES.

Bussing tracks into their own sends and then resampling the send track seems to be the best solution for me to this problem. However, this seems to introduce a new issue. When using this method, all my resultant post-bus tracks are delayed compared to their original. Usually something on the order of .05 seconds (that is to say 5 hundredths of a second). This doesn't seem to be a big deal, but it does make a noticeable change in the sound of the music. Also, the delay is not consistent between the bussed tracks so when doing this everything gets slight askew. Anyone hit this problem/figure out a way around it?

I HAVE THE ANSWER!If you have a track that has sends on it and you want all of your effects to export to your track stem.First solo the track and the return track that goes with it.Go to the export box and render it as MASTER.Do not use all tracks it wont work. The same goes for if you have added any track delays on your track. They wont work either if you render all tracks. They will be exported with zero delay. Its time consuming but it is the only way to do it for now.I hope this helps.

Sends have no sense to be printed on unique tracks, due to the return being a result of the summed channels. To add, the returns are fed to the master bus, and never actually get into the original channel.
