How to access Twist & Hybrid in Ableton

Sonivox Twist came with my Akai MPK225. I installed and authorized it successfully, but I have no idea where they are and how I access it. I understand that it's a plug-in so, shouldn't it show up under "Plug-Ins" in the Ableton Browser?

Thanks & good gigs!

    Hi there,

Please have a read into this article, holding the most common steps to resolve missing plugins issues:

    We hope this helps.

    Hi David,

I tried the recommendations in the article and it didn't work. The folder section of the Preferences shows Live VST Plug-In Custom Folder is "ON" and the Custom Folder is identified as C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins\. I'm running it as Administrator. I can see the Sonivox folders and other plug ins.

One thing I noticed is that Live 9 is not installed in C:\Program Files (x86). Instead, it seems to have been installed (by the Installer) into ProgramData/Ableton/Live 9 Lite/Programs. Could this be the problem?

I figured this out. You have to copy the DLL files (e.g., Hybrid.dll or Twist.dll) into the folder,C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins\, which is the only place Abelton will look for plugins.

    Sort Of Same Problem Here.

    -Bought An MPK225

    -Installed Hybrid & Twist+Update

-Copied Plugin .dll Files To My VST Folder

    -Only Hybrid Shows Up (???)

I'm Familiar With How Things Go. I'm Not New To Ableton, So I'm At A Bit Of A Loss.

I should have posted this earlier: After copying the dll's into the appropriate folder, you need to dial in Hybrid or Twist on the MPK itself using the knob to the upper right of the display. If turn the knob, you'll see it goes from Live to Twist to Hybrid. That's how I got Live to give me access to the two plugins.

I was having problems with Hybrid 3 not showing up after several reinstalls.

I am running the 64 bit Ableton Live 9 Lite as admin (Windows 7 64 bit OS). I made sure to install the Hybrid 3 64-bit VST to the folder where other 64-bit VST's exist.

My solution:  Go into Ableton Live 9's preferences, File Folder tab, turn off "Use VST Plug-In Custom Folder" then turn it back on.  It took a moment to refresh my list of plug-ins, and now Hybrid_x64 is on my list of plug-ins in the browser.
