How do You tell live not to look for control surfaces?

I'm on ableton live 9, and every time I start Live it tries to assigns my midii controler as a control surface and I have to manually set the control surface to none every Time. It does not save the option.

This annoying because sometimes I forget and move a cc control and some random parameter gets changed and messes up my sound, and I have no clue what parameter got changed.
