How do you know if a clip is MIDI or Audio when previewing in the browser?

I would like to know if a clip is MIDI or Audio before I add it to a track. Or is that even necessary?

In the browser, you can see the difference between audioclips and midi clips. Audio has a waveform, midi consists of midi notes.
Besides that, audio and midi clips are usually in diffent folders, or there is a description that shows you wether it is midi or audio.

In the end itdoesnot really matter, since you can drag any audio, midi or device into a new track, and Live will automatically choose a midi or audio track.
Even if it is midi and you want to convert it to audio: use the freeze/flatten commands to turn it into audio.
