How do you clear recent open set from file menu ?

I had moved and deleted some files from a song. Now I can't get rid of it from the file menu.

It depends on what user are you regarding the OS,  Windows or Mac and the knowledge of Hidden System folders and files.

To remove the history of recent projects, you need to delete the Preferences file on the system.

It is not recommended since you will loose all the settings saved on your current Live.

You can clear the whole list of recent sets by deleting/trashing the Preferences.cfg file located here:

    Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Ableton\Live x.x.x\Preferences\Preferences.cfg

    Windows Vista and Windows 7:
    C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live x.x.x\Preferences\Preferences.cfg

    Macintosh HD:/Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live x.x.x/Preferences.cfg

You need to be logged in, have a Live license, and have a username set in your account to be able to answer questions.
