How do I record live audio from my MPC Studio?

I'm running a Scarlett 2i4 with my microKorg, and recently purchased an Akai MPC Studio to record alongside the Korg. The device is USB only and I can route the audio through the Scarlett so I can hear the MPC through my monitors at the same time as my Korg. Issue is, Ableton cannot record the MPC - no matter what input/output settings I try. If I can hear the MPC through the Scarlett, why cannot it not record the live track? Of course I can export any sequence out of the MPC, but want to be able to record live and not have to constantly be exporting files and importing them back into Ableton. Any help would be much appreciated as I have tried everything I can think of and been browsing forums for weeks with no luck.

If you can hear it through your audio interface, that means there has to be a signal available from that same interface.
So in Live you create a new audio track, set the input to ext. In and select the inputs that receive the signal from the mpc. Did you try that already?
