how do I "punch" in on a track to record

I've recorded vocals on a track and I need to punch in and redo a part, can't figure out how to do that

please help

    Okay, so to the left the loop brace button at the top of the screen in the arrangement view there is the "punch-in switch." You have to turn this on and set the beginning of the loop brace where you want to punch in. Make sure your track is armed and then just hit record anywhere before the punch-in point. Likewise, you can set the punch-out with the "punch-out switch" to the right of the loop brace button. This will make it punch out at the end of the loop brace.
