How do I get rid of the audio doubling in Ableton?

Hello! I currently have Ableton Intro and have an issue where the audio ends up getting doubled. This is not to be confused with latency, echo, or reverb. I found a different forum that addressed this but they were told to just turn off the direct monitor on the scarlett and it worked for them but it is not working for me. It quite literally just sounds like I have two of my voice being recorded. I have my mic put through a Scarlett Solo 2nd gen with the direct monitor on the off setting already. I have messed around with the in and outs of the audio with every possible combination yet I can't seem to figure out how I did it last time to only have my voice playing back once. Please help!
