How do I assign tracks to different channels (without interface)?

Hey there,

I am new to Ableton and writing a piece for 4 speakers (two sets of stereo speakers). I am having trouble finding how I can assign tracks to 4 outputs (say channels 1/2 and 3/4) without having an interface plugged in. When I check out Output Config I only get 1 (mono) 2 (mono) and 1/2 stereo options. Is it possible to add more channels? Thank you!

In your case you are probably using the internal interface of your computer. And that interface apparently only has 2 channels; 1/2, so left and right.

If you want more outputs, you will simply need an audio interface that has more than 2 outputs. If the internal interface only has 2 outputs, you won't be able to do that.
