How can I warp an acappella track? Master/slave with the original version?

Please help! I am so frustrated :(

Let me preface this by saying that I am using Ableton Live Lite 8.

I am trying to warp an acappella track. From videos I have watched it looks like I should warp the original and then set the original as the master and then the acappella as the slave. All of this done in the arrangement view. I have followed the videos exactly. However it is making my global tempo automate. I set it is 127 (the bpm of the original version) and it is jumping around from 127 to 126.46 to 127.55 etc. Just bouncing AROUND 127. How can I fix this? How can I do this in a better way? How can I warp acappellas in the session view? Because I want to have the acappella as a clip.

Thank you thank you thank you.

drop both tracks in arrangement view. make sure they line up. un-warp both tracks. select both tracks by holding the command on mac or control on windows. make sure you click on the a capella track first and the full track second. this way you have both tracks selected but you see the full track in the clip view. hit warp. now warp the track. since both tracks are selected, it will apply the same warp markers and stretching to both regions.
