Having trouble recording with Push in session view.

I've spent maybe a month with Ableton Live before now, so I don't know my way around it very well. With Push I can create sounds just fine and make different clips with different instruments, but when I try to put it all together in session mode and record it live (where Push is used as a launchpad instead), nothing is recorded. Yet when I use my computer without Push and play a different clips live with a mouse click, the recording works normally.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? I have a feeling it's something insanely easy that I'm overlooking. At least, let's hope so.

    I want that feature to!

Like "Shift + record" or "Select + record" on PUSH

This is something quite a lot of people would like to be able to do: Create clips in Session view, while recording in Arrangement view, AND still be able to play the instrument of the current clip, and then add notes to it as wished.  At the moment the only way to do this is to activate session record, which is quite frustrating - there is no way to "test" sounds or just jam a little...

Please don't forget to activate the Arrangement Record Button in Live if you want to record your performance into the arrangement. This is currently not possible from Push, although the wish is noted.
