fastest way to sample synths in ableton

Hi all!

I remember seeing on a thread somewhere that there is a command in ableton that automatically samples all the notes/ all the patches of a given synth. Is this right? Because I have a free trial of a vst that is running out and I would like to just turn all the sounds into wav files I can put into sampler, but I don't have the time (or patience! lol) to go through every patch and every key and sample it. Am I crazy?

Cheers!

Yeah, I reckon so. A trip to the shrink might be in order! Either that or I am. Maybe we both are? Anyway, I'm pretty sure you won't find anything remotely like what you are hoping for. The closest thing is a right click command that assigns a load of samples to different keys in Sampler. Sorry!
